Enjoy!

Our Summer 2006 vacation was a road trip, destination: Disneyland, California.  We nicknamed it the "can you zip it for 2 seconds?" trip.
Thursday, July 13th: Set out at 5:00 in the morning, and reached Dillon, Colorado that night.
Friday, July 14th: Continued on to Las Vegas, Nevada.  Visited The Mirage, The Venetian (taking a Gondola cruise down their Grand Canal), and Treasure Island that night.
Saturday, July 15th: Spent the morning visiting Circus Circus before moving onto Lake Forest, California to meet up with Rachel's family.  We went to an Angels game that night (they won too!).
Sunday, July 16th: We spent the day with Rachel's family in Laguna Niguel Regional Park.  It was a 1st birthday celebration for our nephew, Daniel Jamieson.
Monday, July 17th: Visited the Orange County Zoo today.
Tuesday, July 18th: Visited the Orange County Fair today.
Wednesday, July 19th: Two days after Disneyland's 51st birthday, we visited the happiest place on earth!
Thursday, July 20th: Day 2 of Disneyland resort visit.
Friday, July 21st: We set out this morning.  Destination: Grand Canyon.  We visited the Grand Canyon Caverns along the way (on Route 66), and then stayed at the Maswik Lodge, inside the park.
Saturday, July 22nd: Spent the morning visiting the sites of the Grand Canyon and then set out for Albuquerque, New Mexico in the afternoon.  Along the way, we traveled parts of Route 66 and stopped to take our picture on a corner in Winslow, Arizona (you remember that old Eagles tune "Take it Easy", don't ya?)  We also stopped for a photo op at The Jack Rabbit Trading Post in Joseph, Arizona.
Sunday, July 23rd: Set out for Weatherford, Oklahoma.  We visited the Cadillac Ranch (just outside Amarillo, Texas) and stopped for an hour at the National Route 66 Museum in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Monday, July 24th: Destination: home.
