Our Summer 2005 vacation
was a road trip, destination: Disneyland,
California. Disneyland was turning 50 this year, and we
wanted to be there for the celebration. |
|
|
Saturday, August 13th: Set out
at for Ogallala, Nebraska.
While there, we visited the
Keith County Fair. |
|
|
|
Sunday, August 14th: Continued
on to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. We visited the
Glenwood Caverns Adventure
Park, while there. |
|
|
|
Monday, August 15th: Continued
on to Anaheim, California. |
|
|
|
Tuesday, August 16th: Spent the
day visiting Disneyland. |
|
|
|
Wednesday, August 17th: Spent
day 2 visiting Disney's
California Adventure. |
|
|
|
Thursday, August 18th: Went
back to Disneyland,
for the 2nd time this visit. |
|
|
|
Friday, August 19th: Drove to
Sun City West, Arizona.
Rachel's parents moved there this summer, and we were able to see
the home shortly after it was finished being constructed. |
|
|
|
Saturday, August 20th: Drove to
Durango, Colorado. |
|
|
|
Sunday, August 21st: Took the
Durango &
Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad today. It's a couple hour steam
locomotive train ride through Sam Juan National Forest, up to the
old historic town of Silverton. On the trip up to the Silverton,
Ethan got a cinder in his eye, so we ended up having to visit the
Mercy Hospital ER in
Durango that evening. |

Monday, August 22nd: Set out
for Kearney, Nebraska. |
|
|
|
Tuesday, August 23rd: Set out
for home. |
