In January 2008, I (Ken) travelled alone to Germany to attend my brother's wedding.  On the 19th, Kevin Lundy married Karina Schorn, a native of Germany.  The wedding took place in Inzell, Germany.
Thursday, January 17th-Friday, January 18th: Set out to the airport in the morning.  First leg of the flight was to Detroit, Michigan.  Only a couple of hours, no sweat.  From there onto Paris, France.  Wow, I've never been on a 12 hour flight before.  Having a good book and plenty of on-demand movies certainly helped pass the time.  Once in Paris, I had to find my next flight, which was to Munich, Germany.  I sure am happy that there were plenty of information booths in the airport where the employees spoke English!  Got to Munich around 12 noon Friday (their time, mind you--I think that made it 5 am Minnesota time).  Found my parents and my sister, Kristi, and her fiancé, Matt.  From the airport, we took a train to Munich Hauptbahnhof and from there, another train to Inzell.
Saturday, January 19th: The big day.  The wedding took place at the church of St. Michael in Inzell.
Sunday, January 20th: Spent the day walking around downtown Inzell.  It was a very nice, relaxing day.  Couldn't pick up any souvenirs, though, as shops are not opened on Sundays.
Monday, January 21st: Took a train back to Munich (I loved how everywhere you went, it was usually by train), where I spent the day with Kristi and Matt.  We walked around Marienplatz, in downtown Munich and did our "tourist" stuff.  We stayed the night at a Euro Youth Hostel.
Tuesday, January 22nd: Headed to the Munich airport quite early, and caught my long flight back.  By way of Atlanta, GA, got to Minneapolis around 8:00 PM.  Home Sweet Home.
